Frequently asked questions.

What if it rains?

When you live in Victoria, you have to be prepared for 4 seasons in one day! In the lead up to our session I will keep a very very close eye on the weather forecast. I’ll contact you a few days prior to let you know my plan. If its fine, we’re good to go! If it looks like we may get weather that will affect the quality of your images, then I will make the call as late as we possibly can (sometimes even 2 hours out) as to whether we will go ahead or not. If we need to reschedule you will be offered my next available time. The other alternative is to move our session to an in-home or studio location which we can discuss prior.

I want an in-home session, how do I prepare?

Preparing your house for an in-home session isn’t as scary as you think! And you don’t even need a home that could grace the front cover of ‘Home Beautiful” magazine. You simply need a few tidy areas with some natural light, and I’ll work my magic while you just be you. During our session I’ll probably rearrange a lot of furniture, sorry! But just trust me and go with it. I also like to use an outdoor area when doing in-home sessions so keep that in mind.

Do I pay a deposit?

Yes. The deposit for all sessions is $200 and, as stated in the contract you will receive along with your invoice, it is non refundable unless I have to cancel our session and don’t have another time available for you. If you change your mind or can no longer attend that’s fine, your deposit will be used as credit for yourself or anyone else you wish to nominate.

Can I lay-by?

Of course! Chat to me and we’ll work it out.

When will I get my photos?

All galleries will be delivered within 4-6 weeks of your session. Often, I will post a “sneak peek” on my socials within 48 hours. If you’d prefer me not to post on socials please let me know. If you need your images sooner than 4-6 weeks I may be able to accomodate for special circumstances. Just chat to me on the day.

When is the best time for newborn photos?

As soon as YOU’RE ready! Ideally this will be in the first 4-10 days but listen, I’ve had 2 emergency c-sections and let me tell you I was NOT ready to be in front of a camera until at least 3 weeks later! When booking newborn sessions I tentatively lock you in on your due date, then once baby has arrived we can chat via text to see what day will suit you all.

When should I book?

As soon as you can! My availability is limited to allow the best possible client experience so please book well in advance if you can. I recommend 3-6 months.

Do you have a client wardrobe?

I have a small collection of wraps, blankets, beanies, headbands etc. I also have a few dresses for mums which I’m happy to send photos of if you’re interested. My go to dress lady is the amazing Chloe from Everything Lace Hire. The link can be found in at the top of this page!

Can I share my pictures online and with family + friends?

Of course!!! I would be absolutely honoured if you did!!! I just have a few requests as per our contract; please don’t add filters or re-edit my art, please tag my instagram handle and website when posting and please don’t sell my images or give them to anyone who might. If you want to use your images for advertising or in any photo competitions etc. please ask first.
